Face it…… life does not give you much time to prep your house. Here are a few tips to get your home ready to sell that could make all the difference in selling your house.
Step 1: Relax
You have already prepped your house for selling. Get Windex and clean all the mirrors, wipe down the counters in the kitchen and bathroom. Be sure the oven, fridge and dishwasher (nothing in it) are clean and void of spills and fingerprints. (Est. 60 mins)
Step 2: Flooring
Vacuum carpet and be sure the flooring looks fabulous. (Est 60 mins)
Step 3: Inside Appeal
Make sure beds are made, clothes are in hampers, clutter from everyday living is neatly placed. Counter tops should be void of non-essential items. Less is more here. (Est 60 mins)
Step 4: Basement Space
Everyone knows you are moving. However, be sure this space is well organized and clean. (Est 60 mins)
Step 5: Lighting
Lighting plays an important role is presentation. Turn lights on. Especially on your appliances. Photographers use lighting to extenuate the photo, you should too. Leave the house 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment. If the buyer shows up early, be pleasant, smile and remember not to say too much….. That is why there are Real Estate Agents.
